I once committed the sin of pushing a double stroller while pregnant in NYC & someone told me how irresponsible I was for the planet. I didn’t think much of it mainly b/c I really didn’t know what they meant. The idea was so foreign to me. Then it happened 3 more times that day.
I need @NCAASoftball to prove to @MarchMadnessMBB that 1) you can indeed play playoff games during the work day. I know round 1 of March Madness does but not Round 3. 2) a 7 PM primetime game is better than 9 PM primetime.

I have to stop and watch it 2-3 times every time it comes across my feed. What’s even more amazing is I believe this was the first time Notre Dame took the lead in the game.
I just did a google Search on the Sullivans and the story gets even more sorrowful and more heroic.
Aleta Sullivan had 5 sons and 2 daughters, one daughter died in infancy. The surviving daughter, Genevieve, was the girlfriend of a Sailor killed on the USS Arizona during the attack on Pearl Harbor. The five brothers joined the Navy January 1942 to avenge his death.
Genevieve served in the WAVES the female branch of the Naval Reserve.
Their parents Alleta and Thomas travelled the country selling war bonds so their sons didn’t die in vain.
One of the sons killed on the USS Juneau (Albert - Al) had a son, who also joined the Navy serving on the USS Sullivans with the motto “We Stick Together”

Yesterday was Military Spouse Appreciation Day, and military spouses have an extraordinarily high rate of volunteerism to both their local communities and to the military community. I like to point out that that tradition of service goes all the way back to Martha Washington and the sewing circles she led during the Revolutionary War.
