I woke up and as I had my morning coffee, I realized that everything is about to change. No matter how I vote, no matter what I say, something evil has invaded our nation, and our lives are never going to be the same.

I have been confused by the hostility of family and friends. I look at people I have known all my life--so hate-filled that they agree with opinions they would never express as their own. I think that I may well have entered the Twilight Zone.

You can't justify this insanity. We have become a nation that has lost its collective mind!

• If a man pretends to be a woman, you are required to pretend with him.

• Somehow it’s un-American for the census to count how many Americans are in America.

• Russians influencing our elections are bad, but illegals voting in our elections are good.

• It was cool for Joe Biden to "blackmail" the President of Ukraine, but it’s an impeachable offense if Donald Trump inquires about it.

• People who have never owned slaves should pay slavery reparations to people who have never been slaves.

• People who have never been to college should pay the debts of college students who took out huge loans for their degrees.

• Immigrants with tuberculosis and polio are welcome, but you’d better be able to prove your dog is vaccinated.

• Irish doctors and German engineers who want to immigrate to the US must go through a rigorous vetting process, but any illiterate gang-bangers who jump the southern fence are welcome.

• $5 billion for border security is too expensive, but $1.5 trillion for “free” health care is not.

• If you cheat to get into college you go to prison, but if you cheat to get into the country you go to college for free.

• People who say there is no such thing as gender are demanding a female President.

• We see other countries going Socialist and collapsing, but it seems like a great plan to us.

• Some people are held responsible for things that happened before they were born, and other people are not held responsible for what they are doing right now.

• Criminals are caught-and-released to hurt more people, but stopping them is bad because it's a violation of THEIR rights.

• And pointing out all this hypocrisy somehow makes us "racists"?!

Nothing makes sense anymore, no values, no morals, no civility and people are dying of a Chinese virus, but it racist to refer to it as Chinese even though it began in China.

We are clearly living in an upside down world where right is wrong and wrong is right, where moral is immoral and immoral is moral, where good is evil and evil is good, where killing murderers is wrong, but killing innocent babies is right.

Wake up America, the great unsinkable ship Titanic America has hit an iceberg, is taking on water, and is sinking fast. The choice is yours to make. What will it be? Time is short, make your choice wisely!

Bret, you are asserting, without evidence, that there was a "cover-up."

Given how vague your posts are, and given the proliferation of popular "cover-up" narratives that directly implicate Erika Kirk and Charlie's closest friends in his murder, people reasonably assume you're referring to, and lending credence to, those narratives. That contributes to the ongoing torment of real, innocent people.

If you're NOT referring to those mainstream "cover-up" narratives, then explain what you actually mean instead of repeatedly posting vague and ambiguous conspiracy slop that you undoubtedly know winks at some of the most sinister people spreading baseless accusations.

Read the comments on your posts, Bret. People are extremely confused and concerned about what you're saying and doing. Many of them are among the most reasonable and measured people I know. Most of them once deeply admired and respected you. My DMs are full of people you know asking me some variation of, "What in the world is going on with Bret?"

You're a public figure who communicates ideas for a living. Judging by the sheer volume of confusion and genuine concern about your state of mind in your comment section, I think you'd have to admit that you're failing catastrophically as a public communicator.

That should bother you, a lot. It would certainly bother me, and I'd do everything I could to clear up the confusion and salvage my reputation.

Instead, you seem almost completely unconcerned with providing clarity. In fact, you appear to interpret the negative criticism as evidence that you've triggered some kind of social immune response defending a sacred false belief.

But that couldn't be further from the truth.

We're not putting you through a struggle session for being a heretic. Nobody is asking you to shut up or repeat a slogan. Quite the opposite. We're asking you to say more, not less. We're asking you to state your ideas clearly, explicitly, and in as much detail as possible so they can be evaluated on their merits.

Right now, nobody knows what the hell you're talking about. But you seem to be gesturing in a very dark and/or stupid direction.

You're the only person who can actually clear up the confusion, if confusion isn't actually your goal.

Take your role as a public figure seriously.

Start behaving like a scientist instead of a quack podcaster with a martyr complex.

Stop vague-posting conspiracy slop.

Speak precisely. Say exactly what you mean.

When you make claims—such as "there was a cover-up"—provide evidence for them.

Don't evade questions or play dumb when people ask you for evidence or clarity.

Don't treat pushback as evidence that you're right.

Behave like a responsible truth-seeker and communicator who wields a flashlight instead of a fog machine.

People are exhausted by the style of discourse coming out of right-wing Podcastistan of just dumping absolute garbage into the public square for clicks and views that we all have to spend time cleaning up.

You're a smart guy. You're also very kind, and I've enjoyed your company every time we've met in person. If we didn't have a personal relationship, I wouldn't have bothered writing any of this. I would have simply dismissed you.

I hold you to a higher standard because I still think there's a chance you're acting in good faith and have simply spent too much time online or in the company of people who have severely distorted your perception of reality.

I genuinely believe you're better than the behavior you've been engaging in, and I hope you change course.

I’m not even convinced responding to you at this point is worth it. Your engagement has fallen off a cliff and your credibility (whatever was left) has been completely destroyed.

1 - Paramount Tactical is not an “affiliate.” He’s not paid. We don’t coordinate. He’s his own man. Believe it or not, we don’t have to pay people to debunk your garbage. They’re all just that repulsed by what you’ve done. They do it all on their own.

2 - You obviously know he wasn’t threatening you. You’re just playing the victim like you always do. When you get cornered, it’s your default move. You started this whole disgusting ordeal with your character assassination of Erika and countless others, and the second someone (or in this case nearly the entire internet) fights back, you claim it’s a paid op, fed slop, etc. Your whole formula is so boring and predictable now.

3 - None of this will distract from your latest faceplant. We thought you and your affiliates had the receipt that finally cracked the case? Or is this the latest theory you’re about to move on from and conveniently never mention again?
