Ghost stories are passed down orally through generations in Thailand. Ajarn Sanan from The Centre for the Promotion of Arts and Culture at Chiang Mai University wrote "Ghosts in Lan Na Beliefs", which has inspired part of the young adult novel I'm writing.

@soontornvat I'm so excited to hear about your book @soontornvat! My children are Thai-Australian, and there is such a lack of books with Thai characters available for them. I'm currently writing a magic-realist YA novel set in Thailand, and trying to approach it sensitively.
