@chrissyteigen Wow! What an amazing support! I am a sixth grade teacher in North Dakota, and I know my students and I would appreciate any support. Thank you for your generosity! https://t.co/hmNINUy3ht
Can Tyra Banks create an updated smizing video? I’m not ANTM worthy, but I want my students to know I think they’re brilliant and funny from behind the mask.
Student: “Miss Larson, you are like a professional grandma!”
Me: “Wait, what?”
S: “You remind of my grandma, and I really like that about you!”
M: *burst out laughing*
“I will take that as a compliment!”
😂😂
Hello @shane_pinto! I am a sixth grade teacher, and we are talking about the importance of reading. My students would like to know if you read in college or in your free time. They believe you will not use reading skills outside of school hours. They don't think you will respond.
My former students have come to visit these first couple of days! One came to show me he has officially learned how to tie his shoes. It’s something he didn’t know how to do until we practiced last year. Proof we all learn things at different rates! I’m so proud! ♥️
Went to see the movie playing at the local theatre by myself tonight. I ran into a couple of students, and they realized I was by myself.
“Miss Larson, we’re here with friends, but we see you’re by yourself, so is it okay that we sit by you?”
I’m too blessed ♥️
Playing ⚾️ at recess today.
Me: *up to bat*
5th gr. boy: “look at her stance! I love her swing; it’s so quick.”
Another: “I never would have thought Miss Larson knew anything about baseball...that’s why I put her last in the batting order.”
Me: 😎
After taking his NWEA test, a student showed me his score. I responded, “holy cannoli, look at that awesome score!” He had gained 6 points from winter scores and was super proud of it because he struggles on a daily basis. His classmates even silently clapped for him! ❤️ is full!
My students keep asking me to make a countdown to summer, but I refuse to. They don’t know how much I’m going to miss them. The last day of school is going to be brutal!
During read to self time:
Me: Siri, set a timer for 15 min
Boy: Hey, Miss Larson, did you know she responds to Alexa, too?
Me: Really? *turns to phone* Hey Alexa, set a timer for 15 min.
Students: *burst out laughing*
can’t stop talking about it for the rest of the day.
🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️
I now know every single prank that will happen today because my students talk about it outside my door or window. They’re not very good at being secretive!
