This report documents systemic human rights abuses carried out by or under the supervision of the New Orleans Immigration and Customs Enforcement Field Office (“NOLA ICE”), the federal office that oversees immigration detention in Louisiana.

Inside those jails, officials rampantly violate detained peoples’ human and civil rights, locking them away in punitive conditions indistinguishable from those in criminal jails and prisons, in some cases for prolonged periods lasting years.

BREAKING: MAGA Congressman Max Miller is accused of YEARS of physical abuse against his ex-wife — including throwing boiling water on her in front of their 2-year-old daughter.

And it gets so much worse...

The Daily Mail has obtained court filings and spoke to sources who revealed that Emily Moreno, the ex-wife in question, sought custody changes for their child due to "dangerous physical behavior" from Miller in the presence of their daughter. Moreno is the daughter of Republican Senator Bernie Moreno.

In February of this past year, Miller allegedly hit Moreno while their 2-year-old daughter was watching resulting in bruises to her arm, elbow, and torso. Photos of Moreno show the bruising and redness after the alleged attack.

Additionally, the Bay Village Police Department confirmed to the Daily Mail that their officers responded to a report of child abuse on the day in question. The investigation is ongoing.

In another, even more horrifying, incident in 2024, Miller allegedly hurled a pot of boiling water at Moreno. Some of the scalding liquid landed on her chest. Once again, their daughter was present. More photos show redness on the alleged victim's chest in the aftermath.

The two separated in 2024 and were divorced in 2025, with an agreement for joint custody of their daughter. Court documents obtained by TMZ reveal that Moreno stated Miller “regularly speaks to me in an inappropriate, aggressive and demeaning manner, which is not in the best interest of our child" and “has conducted dangerous physical behavior in the child’s presence.”

“I do not believe it is in our child’s best interest for [Miller] and me to jointly make a decision for her,” said Moreno, who believes that Miller could "cause direct harm" to the child.

Miller denies the allegation, but a letter obtained by the Daily Mail, was written by him on the day of the alleged boiling water incident. While he didn't outright admit what he did in writing, he did say that he felt "worthless", that guilt was "eating him alive," and that he was "sorry" to have "failed" her and their daughter.

“These images, combined with the documented history in court filings, directly contradict years of Mr. Miller’s denial,” said Moreno's attorney. “Any claim that Ms. Moreno fabricated these allegations collapses in the face of contemporaneous physical evidence.”

“It is unfortunate that these matters have become public when Ms. Moreno has made every effort to keep them private and out of court for the sake of their daughter,” he added. “But the ongoing pattern of behavior, coupled with the continued denials, has made silence no longer possible.”

This is not the first time that Miller has faced these kinds of allegations.

His ex-girlfriend, former White House Press Secretary Stephanie Grisham, has stated that he slammed her against the wall and slapped her when she accused him of cheating. Grisham has said that she believes that Donald and Melania Trump knew about Miller's alleged abusive tendencies, but refused to expel him from MAGA world.

“I felt that Mrs. Trump believed my story,” said Grisham. “I suspected the president, long invested in the view that women usually make up allegations of assault, didn’t want to believe it. The point is that the president and first lady seemed totally unfazed about whether there was an abuser—another abuser—in their workplace."

At this point, the Republican Party's brand is inseparable from misogyny and domestic abuse. Trump is an adjudicated rapist and alleged pedophile. Pete Hegseth is an alleged rapist. From top to bottom, MAGA is riddled with predators. A vote for this movement is a vote to victimize women.
