Mayors of world-class cities get together this morning to make a joint statement on increasing tourism and reducing emissions from urban consumption #NYC#London#C40@NYCMayor@MayorofLondon
Opening night of the @ReelAbilities Film Festival last night was fantastic! Robert De Niro kicked off the event, followed by @NYCMayor Eric Adams, who shared his experience with Dyslexia and his warm admiring words for the exceptional @NYCCalise , this year's OpeningNight Honoree!
Thrilled to support @ReelAbilities on opening night & "The Specials," one of many incredible films for, about & by people w/ disabilities screening at the festival.
What a great night to celebrate these beautiful stories & honor my friend, former @NYCDisabilities CMR @NYCCalise!
.@NYCMayor announced the Economic Blueprint to rebuild, renew and reinvent NYC.
•$140 million for Hunts Point market and community

"It has been thoroughly documented that people with disabilities suffer disproportionate harm in
situations of armed conflict. They can be left behind in... evacuation efforts & are
unable to access emergency [resources] - US Intl Council on #Disabilities https://t.co/uvJmh0bbIs
@ShabanaMir1 I respectfully disagree. Mental health stigmas are going out the door, people can now access therapy in many ways (or should). I expect people to dial it down in person otherwise their anxieties affect me.
While a rare disease is defined as a disease that affects fewer than 200,000 people in the US at any given time, there are 7,000 rare diseases & that affect about 30 million Americans. This community isn't so alienating to me. #RareDiseaseDay#Disabilities
My husband hates the word "rare." He says we are not a rare family. We are just like everyone else but with huge challenges. He thinks the word rare is alienating. I know this has been a topic of discussion among the cmmty. What do folks think? #rarediseaseday#rarediseasetruth
"These are not refugees from Syria, these are refugees from neighboring Ukraine...these are Christians, they're white..." So basically refugees displaced from war who are Christian and White are acceptable? @KellyCobiella
@AlanRMacLeod https://t.co/qghBhTbYrd
Isnt it funny all these different news outlets worlwide have the same narrative.
Its almost like there all connected or pushing the same agenda!
So an official of a democratic 'civilized' country would be ok if war descended upon people who did not have blue eyes and blonde hair? Isn't war for anyone is wrong? One life lost is one too many? How about that?
[Thread] The most racist Ukraine coverage on TV News.
1. The BBC - “It’s very emotional for me because I see European people with blue eyes and blonde hair being killed” - Ukraine’s Deputy Chief Prosecutor, David Sakvarelidze
For every single journalist and racist guest speaker stressing that war, in this case, is wrong bc Ukraine is a European country & it's unlike 'uncivilized' countries- forgot European warfare & history. The list would be endless if we start recalling military conflicts in Europe.
Relentless misogynistic and sectarian attacks online against journalist @RanaAyyub must be promptly and thoroughly investigated by the #Indian 🇮🇳 authorities and the judicial harassment against her brought to an end at once, stress @UN_SPExperts. https://t.co/scIURjpOdn
How is the effort to preserve religious freedom have all been reduced to a ‘row,’ meaning an noisy argument in the world’s largest democracy? #HijabIsOurRight
