Interested in neurodegeneration and synapses then come work with myself and @RueppLab on an exciting @mndassoc funded post doc project 🧠🔬🧫. #alsresearch#synpases#microscopy

.@mndassoc funded researcher @SaraTacconelli just presented her work at #alsmndsymp.
She’s looking at how a protein called FUS interacts with other proteins in neurons.
Sara identified over 300 proteins that interact with FUS, which may help us discover what goes wrong in #MND.
#ResearcherSpotlight 💡
@SaraTacconelli is investigating the role of a protein called FUS in #MND. She is specifically looking at how FUS impacts the synapse which helps essential information flow from one neuron to another.

Excited to be at my first ever in person conference! I will be presenting a poster at the 8th European Synapse Meeting in Coimbra! A great opportunity to discuss my PhD research 'Identifying synaptic interactors of FUS’ @VanceLabKCL
📍 Convento São Francisco
Grateful to lead this study at @KingsCollegeLon . There is no doubt about the benefit of #tofersen for patients with #SOD1-#ALS and hope that it is approved soon. We continue to recruit patients to the EAP at @KingsCollegeNHS; open to all with SOD1-ALS. https://t.co/Esv61Uk0KH
Fab to be back for the @KingsIoPPN School of #neuroscience#PhD symposium. Lovely to see @SaraTacconelli present her exciting data from the @VanceLabKCL on synaptic FUS. Really good to see such a diverse range of science from across the School being presented!
