Mamdani is clever though. He later posted a performative Tisha B'Av message online, conveniently omitting what this solemn day of mourning for Jews actually signifies: the destruction of both Holy Temples in Jerusalem and centuries of Jewish exile. The cynical maneuver served as transparent political cover, masking an ongoing campaign designed to appease his base while demonizing Israel.

Here’s the problem: 90% of Jewish people identify as Zionists. He knows this. Attacking the right of the Jewish state to exist directly imperils Jews worldwide. He also knows this. Combined with a family legacy where his father, Marxist scholar Mahmood Mamdani, publicly rationalized suicide bombings as acts of military strategy rather than barbarism, these actions demonstrate a calculated campaign to normalize antizionism, manipulate public perception, and endanger global Jewish communities.
