Refraining from violence is not an act of “generosity”—it is the bare minimum expected in a civilised society.

My advice on reacting to Trump’s moves and posts about Iran:
Wait until American military assets have actually left the region. Only then allow yourself to get angry, impatient, or start attacking him.

Until that moment, understand that raw force is not the whole game.
Iran is only the battlefield, a much larger war is being fought outside its borders.

Those who benefit from the regime and from endless Middle East conflict will not simply walk away. Saudi Arabia is one of them. They are still playing double game.

Also, remember, this controlled pressure — tightening and loosening — gradually wears the regime down.

When it finally falls, the collapse will be cleaner and the damage smaller.
The regime no longer has the support of the majority, but it still has supporters.
It takes time for the regime’s own incompetence to alienate even those remaining supporters.

In the region, it also takes time for the true danger of this regime to be fully exposed.
What Trump is doing is pushing things to the point where the regime’s own supporters in the region, start begging for it to be removed.

A couple of reminders:

Remember the Soviet Union , a far more dangerous and bloodthirsty regime.
It collapsed from within under the same kind of sustained external pressure, without any direct military confrontation.

But it didn’t happen overnight. It took nearly seven years of pressure.
Is it hard? Is it unexciting? Yes.
But what matters to Trump is maintaining control, not playing the hero here.

Next: Israel spent a year and a half turning Gaza into rubble and still couldn’t free the hostages.

Trump initially threatened hellfire if the hostages weren’t released, Hamas still refused.

Then he gave the green light for Israel to strike inside Qatar.
Suddenly Hamas behaved and returned every single hostage.

The key wasn’t the bomb, it was cutting off Qatar’s quiet support.

Another reminder:

Deception and psychological warfare are a huge part of this.
Right up until the day before Khamenei was hit, the Oman talks were going extremely well.
That very progress made him feel safe enough to come out into the open.
This process was never meant to be exciting, satisfying, or entertaining.

This is not a movie.
This is not a video game.
Trump has no magic wand.

He operates under real constraints, and he receives far more information than we do.

Trump is holding a dangerous, suicidal regime at gunpoint and forcing it to behave.

If you want anything of Iran to survive — and if you don’t want the regime to drag the whole country down with it — you have to be patient.

It is like chemotherapy. It takes time. But it’s the only way.
