I would love for the Islamic Regime in Iran to lose on every front.

Of course, for me—like millions of Iranians—the Islamic Republic does not represent Iran. Iran is not the Islamic Republic. The team playing in the 2026 World Cup is not Iran's national team. The players praise Ali Khamenei and sportswash the massacre of tens of thousands of Iranians by the regime.

It was a soccer match between Egypt and the Islamic Republic. The captain, Mehdi Taremi—who has a terrible reputation because he praised Ali Khamenei and is openly antisemitic—stepped up to take the penalty. Egypt's goalkeeper, Mostafa Shobeir, made a brilliant save and defended the goal. I was so happy that the regime couldn't score. My good friend Daniel Bordman captured the moment of my happiness as I waved the Lion and Sun flag. Since Taremi loves Ali Khamenei, the phrase "Ayatollah Khamenei is dead" came to mind. Tonight, the soccer team of the regime was eliminated. I am happy like millions of my compatriots. The Islamic Republic will be eliminated by the Iranian people, too. That day is not too far away.
