@RogersHistory I did ‘o’ levels in 1983 and did many jobs before teaching but the application forms ask for all of this information. Also, all of my previous heads have retired so I can’t ask for references. It’s ridiculous!

No child can be taught to read for pleasure instantly. It is a process that needs to at the child’s pace and allow them to discover and grow. There isn’t a magic bullet. Just create a culture and passion for reading and discussion and follow the rights of the reader.

@HarveyNicholsCS very upset with the attitude of some of your staff on Saturday evening. Myself and 3 friends booked the summer menu, checked the menu that morning but when we arrived at the restaurant were only offered one choice per course. Chicken not good for vegetarians
