@AGEiland @pwharris Decimal points don’t move, numbers change in magnitude. However, I believe once a student can show me understanding of that moving that decimal point is a “short cut” just like I allow standard algorithms once understanding of models is shown.

We had a great time at the Decimal Diner today! I think they have a better awareness of what it really means to eat out (read $$$). We used local restaurant menus to calculate the cost for their family to eat plus a 20% tip! #realworld #mesrocks
