@Socdem_Michael I was there when shit went up in flames. Honestly my issue is that he called in the Nat’l Guard in at all - they terrorized our city more than any protestors. If they try to make that a taking point against him, I’ll be so f—ing loud about how his delay saved lives.
@everybdysgay @Gaylor_Is_Real I lived in Minneapolis proper during the protests and was there the night when the buildings burned. His deployment of the national guard is my sole issue with him, honestly. (Yet he’s being chastised for not doing it sooner.) Overall, he’s been a fantastic governor.
@everybdysgay @Gaylor_Is_Real He was moderate when he was representing a moderate district. But as Governor, he’s been very progressive. He definitely lucked out with a dem legislation. But I think progressive is who he is, at heart.
@TuthSophia Were you there? Because I was. That building went fully up in flames over 30ish minutes. The fire started in the would-be parking garage below the building. I literally saw it.
When Indigenous people say stolen land
we don't mean 500 years ago
In the late 1800s a lumber company had my g+ grandfather tell them stories & asked for an "autograph" on blank paper
They forged a land transfer
It's a golf course today
This is typical Native family history
@Andi_Wentworth Say more. Say how being violent with protesters and press is worse than violating a curfew. Say how what’s happening here is worse than what happened at the US Capitol.
