Thank you @mh_gaddis for your inspiring closing of #LitLink2024 reflecting on the literacy transformation in @MariettaCitySch from the teacher perspective. "The journey will feel tough, but it is worth it!"
"What do you notice? How could this impact childrens fine motor skills?" A great session on The Science of Writing with Caroline Lacksen from @DealCenterGC! @CoxCampus#LitLink2024
College teacher prep programs, what are you doing to stop kids from circling in the drain? We have to do better in training our teachers to provide effective literacy instruction! Thank you @KJWinEducation for this call to action to our university systems. #LitLink2024
@Rebecca_LJFA I hated using those words. I didn't intend to. I never loke using children with such imagery. But, in the moment. That's what my heart exclaimed. We are watching our children get dragged into society's worst outcomes.
Needlessly

Defiantly.
As testing season approaches, remember that short term fixes won’t solve reading failure in your school. Preventing reading failure requires schools to commit to long term change. Systems & structures that are causing reading failure must be disrupted.
It’s time to #sorformore!
Feeling grateful for an incredible last week in @FultonCoSchools. Started the week with @FultonZone7 CoP. 🤗 After 13+ amazing yrs, I'm excited to embark on a new adventure with @CoxCampus. Huge thanks to everyone who has been a part of this journey. Here's to new beginnings! 🎉

We enjoyed visiting 2nd- 5th grade classrooms to watch the Respond to Reading routine. Our teachers did an amazing job modeling and leading students through this work. @SarahDiffley
