Let the whole earth be filled with the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ Jesus by the power of Holy Spirit.
Amen? Amen!
If we are doing the hands and feet thing or even the social justice thing without bringing people to the Cross of Christ for an encounter with the Spirit of the Living God, y’all, what are we even doing? It’s not the hour to play. Was it ever that hour?
What if the most loving thing we could do in this hour is pray and call for repentance. A call to turn from what separates and turn toward God’s best. I’ll go first: forgive me for pride. I turn toward YOU in humility. It’s not the hour to play, y’all. Was it ever that hour?
The world doesn’t need more self-focused Christians obsessed with their enneagram. No. The world needs passionate Christ-followers proclaiming the name of the ONE who created their “self.” Now is not the hour to play. Was it ever really?
For revival and restoration to come, maybe just maybe the Lord is waiting on those who cry:
Holy, Holy, Holy are you LORD!
Forgive me, cleanse my heart, purify my hands…
SEND ME!
I know people have hurt you, harmed you, abused you. The Lord weeps when you weep in the pain of trauma to your body, mind, and soul.
Please don’t translate what a human did to harm you in their sin as an act of God who, in His might and power, loves you tenderly and fiercely.
A prayer I know He will be quick to answer:
Lord, give me a heart for YOU alone.
Yes, the prayer for this hour. Anything that blinds us, distracts us, turns our affections away from the love of the Living God. The prayer for the hour. Pure hearts see God Himself. Amen.
I just don’t want to stand on the other side of all this and know I missed out on partnering in prayer to see the greatest move of God in our generation. His presence changes everything. JESUS changes EVERYTHING.
