Reading as a writer is a whole new way of reading.
Instead of being surprised by the existence of plot twists, I think to myself “yep, there it is!”
Instead of immediately hating a new antagonist, we reluctantly wait for their redeeming character arc.
It’s a new way to read!
Thank you to Sarah Frank, author of Once Chance and Two Secrets, for taking time to talk to us about writing! What a wonderful experience! @BooksBea @HillsVirtualK12 @sarahf_author@BSE_Bobcats
When I was 11, I wrote the first draft of One Chance by hand, intending it to be a trilogy! The coolest part is I actually wrote them all and got them published. If you can dream it, you can do it! #author#book#writing
When you were 11 did you hand-write 3 chapters of the first book of a planned trilogy and then completely forget about it until you discovered the notebook as an adult and were horrified or were you normal
Currently thinking about all the e-learning kids who didn’t get to spend this year experiencing the magic of a @hubofschool library!! I fell in love with reading at the @WestchaseWizard library. Hopefully next year will be different!

Just started Hide and Seek by Sara Shepard; 100% recommend The Lying Game series to anyone who loves mystery. @sarabooks is one of my all-time favorite authors and all her books are great reads.
Scholastic Arts and Writing (@artandwriting) released regional results today and I’m proud to say I got an American Voices Nomination, 3 gold keys, a silver key, and an honorable mention! It’s part of my dream come true.

“At the end of the day, kids with completely different educational experiences are being held to the same standard, and it’s definitely not fair for them.” - Sarah Frank @sarahf_author
