I'm looking for family law solicitors and barristers to take part in my PhD research into the impact of s8 orders on mothers' lives. DM or email [email protected] for more info. Please share - thank you! #FamilyLaw#FamilyCourt
@BarnettAdrienne I did the course in 2020, thankfully online. One of the men taking part said he couldn't understand why he was there, there was no 'proper' DA, he 'just smacked her a few times'. Lots of pressure to ignore any concerns about the other parent and tell the kids it's a positive
Had an amazing couple of days at the beautiful @SorbonneParis1 presenting my work on 'Why we need a feminist family law' and discussing all things feminism. Thank you for organising @AlexandrineN@RAuchmuty and so lovely to meet so many likeminded feminists! #feminism#familylaw
@DrElStaples Yes!! And things like childcare at conferences are helpful for (some) preschoolers but my kids are school age so they need to be in school and I need to be home by the end of the day. Hybrid conferences have been a godsend as a single parent with limited childcare options.
🥳Happy #UNCRCScotland incorporation day 🎉 On this historical day we want to thank & celebrate all the children & young people we work with + the adults/duty bearers who made this possible! Let's make #UNCRC a reality for every child in🏴!

@DHPrevention I'm taking a break over summer but will be looking for participants again in September. Would love to speak to any mothers who are interested - thank you!
@S_Chelvan I bumped into this amazing woman on the train yesterday - she was incredibly kind to me when I needed a seat ❤️ thank you Rachel, I hope you both had a wonderful time!
My paper 'Family Law - does it work for the whole family?' has been published in the 3rd volume @LawMcGill GLSA Research Series: Law & Prejudice. A literature review of the impact of s8 orders on the lives of separated mothers. #postseparationparenting

Proud to be a trustee @YellowDoorSol and supporting such important work. Thank you to all the other volunteers and staff for all your hard work too. I am looking forward to joining my fellow trustees again very soon, I've missed you all during my time off!
It was an honour to present my research this weekend at FLT at 40: The Family and the Constitution of Everyday Life, looking at the impact of section 8 orders on the lives of separated mothers in England and Wales. Thank you for having me! #feministapproach
Thank you @GradSchoolUoP for a super-helpful session, also for once again making sure those of us who are part time/distance learners were well looked after. It makes the PhD/parenting juggle so much easier! #phd#portsmouthuni
Today we are running our first ever Re-Induction for our postgraduate research students. A great turn out from our PGR community, in-person and online, to learn more about major and annual reviews, our new webpages, Moodle, and PGR well-being.
