I lost a high paying job offer 4 days ago, because I was Nigerian. It was really frustrating cause I prepared for the interview, spent sleepless nights learning stuffs.

I aced the interview,they said they liked my presentation, the salary was in thousands of dollars, I had already weaved up dreams, of how happy my mom would be and how it could finally change our lives.

Then came the question, "Where did you say,you were from again?? Miss Sarah" I'm from Nigeria ma.

With a sad look on her face,she said " you are exactly what we need in our company,but I'm sorry. The board,has long decided that we couldn't work with Nigerians.

My whole world crumbled in a minute,I wish they'd look only at what I can offer,for a moment I wished my two English names could change my heritage but then, it's sad that the country has been badly represented out there,so bad that "Scam" is the first thing that comes to the mind of a foreigner when you mention the name "Nigeria".

At this point, I'm tired, frustrated and exhausted,but I believe there's hope when there is life.

So we were walking down the road one evening and then my phone rang,I picked up the call,talked for a while and ended the call. Mind you my date and I were not in a relationship,it was suppose to be a random evening where would walk to a restaurant get food and get to talk more..

They hanged a man by his hair after beating him to a pulp and falsely accusing him for stealing.
Now that's being Barbaric. Somehow in the middle of the hardship and the silence of our leaders we're slowly loosing our humanity.

I went swimming for the first time in my life and I lost my balance in the pool...the person that was suppose to teach me was focused on taking pictures instead.

I really adore how Vekee James,is going extra miles just to make Baby Eliana's childhood memorable. Because when she grows up she has those wonderful memories of her childhood to playback and the mom also has memories she'd hold on too for a lifetime.
