@BAFTA Can you not see the irony of your statement in your last two paragraphs? You talk about inclusion but thank John for removing himself from the situation and you feel like you have to apologise for his tics - that’s the opposite of inclusion- that’s exclusion and intolerance
Disabilities aren’t a lack of effort or discipline. Neurological conditions like Tourette’s are not choices, and they’re not something someone can just stop doing. Before judging, take a minute to learn and watch this! #johndavidson#baftas#tourettes
This intelligent young Black woman with Tourette’s Syndrome explains the incident at the BAFTAs and how Tourette’s affects the person living with the condition.
Her race shouldn’t need mentioning, but unfortunately too many people have reacted emotionally to this situation and need a Black woman to explain why someone with Tourette’s who is white is not vocalising profanities toward Black people simply because they’re racist.
We need more logic and critical thinking, as this woman brilliantly demonstrates, and fewer snap judgements driven solely by emotion.
@Nigel_Farage I work much harder at home. Having no disruptions and commute time is spent working not driving - so it’s not always the case that people aren’t more productive/ it depends on the setting you work in/ I find locking myself away at home to get something done means it’s done
If you’re feeling discouraged or depressed this Christmas season, remember this:
The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. - Psalm 34:18
God is always nearby. He won’t leave you, now or ever. And I will be praying for those of you suffering during this time of the year. I love you all. ❤️
In Australia, after his team won the championship, the football captain went into the stands to bring Sammy, their waterboy who has Down's Syndrome, to celebrate with them.
