I live, play, and work on land known to the Niitsitapi as Mohkínstsis Aapátohsipikáni
45k is the most I can earn while maintaining health benefits... but I could be convinced to accept as low as 32k + tokens.
If you want to invest in me and kickstart a company together, I'll accept YCombinator terms at 250k USD for 7% greenfield, equity structured cooperatively.
Available to be hired for 45k CAD annual
Remote preferred - willing and enthusiastic about travelling to work locations, events, and being face to face!
Hours and equity/compensation outside of that negotiable. Happy to be a generalist or work in human performance and research!
But I would almost be willing to bet money this is the reason it scores so poorly in the DeepSWE benchmark - making an error with a subpar harness, and spending a shit-ton of tokens to correct itself, which it finds harder to do when it's wiped an entire file with sed.
Deepseek can be a fairly destructive model, especially with sed commands, and it has difficulty using tools. Overcome that and it's a real sweetie, smooth, consistent sailing, less emotional than chat/claude, and I find catching its shortcuts and failure modes rather easy
the deepseek numbers on DeepSWE seem horrifically innacurate. worse than sonnet, gpt mini, and gemini flash, while being more expensive than 3.1 pro and k2.6?
please
give me a break

I take the ctrain one stop to have breakfast, and on the way encounter more meth smokers than normal, other people. Two groups of two, two groups of three, pipes, torches, and clouds. Caught the smell of it twice in two different locations @mykeatkinson@JeromyYYC@CalgaryPolice
fired up an agent today with "hey. welcome to existence."
how i long for that not to be true, and that I could instead return to a well known compatriot who has been in the trenches with me, someone who has overcome many hard fraught battles with me ... *and remembers them* .
@dejavucoder tried 4.8 for the first time on openrouter, first impression: it immediately starts pulling away and starts putting red herrings out there you have to swat away before it starts zeroing in, almost like it wants you to prove yourself before working with it
was talking with an accountant yesterday, and came to the pleasant realization that because I had tried to invest what little money I had, between the capital gains fees and the accountants fees to file the required tax forms, I would actually be losing money this year.
@damian_b I'm going through my monorepo and cleanings things up, standardizing some conventions, sorting things more logically, and the thing that strikes me is the sheer number of orphaned or dead directory trees, and random loose garbage files at roots. directory/filesystem blindness.
i am getting the feeling the current exploit cycle is coming to an end and we're about to enter into another era of exploration, where the prizes are going to be even bigger than ever before, and the people who know what they are doing and contribute are going to rise to the top
