Today, a photo of a tiger cub came to me. In the image, the cub is holding a disposable plate in its mouth. Seeing the cub pick up the plate didn’t make me sad, but thinking about how alert and conscious we humans are (or rather, should be) towards wild animals and their habitats did make me feel sorrow.
However, the cat family is extremely curious by nature, and they carefully observe and investigate every new thing they encounter for the first time. I believe this plate is likely garbage from resorts located near the forest, or from rural weddings where people left the trash out in the open and forgot to dispose of it properly.
Whatever the case may be, the bigger question is, is this a sensible or responsible act on our part? #bigcatprotection #wildlifeawareness

My mom has kept few bird baths back home in Alleppey and the most vocal bathers after the jungle bablers is this Red whiskered Bulbul. Its so good to watch them enjoy water.

There were regular spotted deer alarm calls but predator wasn't to be seen. The tourists had to wait for a good 45 minutes before the queen walked in open, marching towards the waterhole,and obliging all. In wild sightings are always better if you are patient.

The Green-backed Tit (Parus monticolus) is a vibrant and energetic bird that brightens the Himalayan forests with its striking colours and playful nature. It is easily identified by its olive-green back, glossy black head and throat, bright yellow underparts divided by a bold black stripe, crisp white cheeks, and bluish-grey wings. Agile and inquisitive, it moves swiftly through the forest canopy, often joining mixed-species flocks in search of food.
