Charlie lost the ability to speak 3 years ago, was diagnosed with autism 1.5 years ago and is still nowhere near accessing #NeedsBasedTherapy They are inviting kids diagnosed in 2017-2018 to access therapy, so we likely have another 5-6years to wait for help #50KIsNotOk #onpoli

Speech Language Therapy and Occupational Therapy are essential parts of the healthcare system, for many patients in Ontario including those with #autism. We should not have to pay out of pocket for our healthcare.

After waiting 1.5 years, we finally got a diagnosis at 3YO for our son. I was crushed when I realized that we wouldn’t get any help or #NeedsBasedTherapy just another huge waitlist with over 50,000 other kids

When my son was diagnosed with #autism at age 2 we were told we were lucky to have such an early diagnosis. Now he's 6 and he's still never received any support from @fordnation. Thank god for that early diagnosis. #50kisnotok

Under Doug Ford autism program, my girl got 6mths of speech & a new trampoline she doesn’t use because of the expiry date on the funding given during lockdowns. 5 years waiting so far.

I woke up angry this morning. ANGRY at the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services. 2 months after registering Regis for Entry to School, I found out that his 1:1 Early Years language support has been pulled. His voice, his independence further restricted.
