This week, Congress has a simple choice: stand for affordable access to health care and food security or stand for tax cuts for the wealthiest.
I call upon Congress to be on the right side of history and to resist cutting billions of dollars in federal funding from lifeline services.

Today I visited Westfield to meet with New Jerseyans whose lives would be significantly harmed by federal Medicaid cuts — resulting in dramatically reduced services and putting 700,000 Medicaid recipients at risk of losing their coverage.
This week, the Trump Administration ripped away $350 million in funding for public health, mental health, and addiction services in New Jersey.
We will do everything we can to restore this funding — including taking legal action — so we can keep New Jerseyans safe and healthy.
NEW: Overdose deaths declined statewide as the @NJDeptofHealth continues expanding Harm Reduction Centers and streamlining access to treatment.
