I got advice
“Struggle is not a punishment.
It’s preparation.
The process we’re going through right now is a test, not to break us, but to shape us into a stronger version of ourselves.”
When everything seemed lost, my family’s faith kept me alive.
Even in my darkest moments, their support gave me strength.
Because of them, I will rise again not just for myself, but for those who never gave up on me..💕
@runitbackghost your threat really hit me. I’m going through the same thing right now and feeling pretty down. But I’m thankful my family always supports me and because of them, I know I’ll rise again. Thank you ❤
Sharing some of my best practices to not get drained.
Most people don’t get hacked by elite hackers. They get hacked because they clicked one bad link or trusted one sketchy app months ago.
Your main wallet is like your body. Every dApp you connect to is like a new partner. Even if you stop using it, the connection stays. One exploited dApp (like Nova) and your wallet can get drained while you’re asleep.
The solution is to split wallets. Have a cold wallet that never connects to dApps and only stores funds, and a hot wallet used for minting, staking, and trading. If the hot wallet dies, your savings survive.
Disconnect old permissions regularly. In Phantom, go to Settings → Connected Apps and remove everything you don’t use or trust. Do this monthly. Think of it as wallet hygiene.
Chrome extensions are risky because they can read every page you visit, inject scripts, and access your browser’s local storage. Your wallet’s private keys are encrypted but stored locally in that same browser data. A malicious extension can silently steal them. If you wouldn’t trust it with your bank login, don’t install it.
Social engineering is one of the biggest attack vectors. Fake links often look real but might ask you to press keys or enter a code to “authenticate,” which is designed to steal your session tokens. There are fake Telegram websites that ask you to log in, but they are actually phishing pages that steal your real Telegram session. Always type URLs manually and never log in through links someone else sends you.
Transaction signing on Solana is cheap and fast, which makes people careless. Some malicious sites can ask you to sign a “harmless” transaction that actually transfers funds or grants permissions. Always read what Phantom shows you before approving. If it looks weird, cancel.
Solana is notorious for fake NFT drops and airdrops. Random tokens in your wallet can contain malicious links when clicked in explorers or wallets. Never interact with unexpected tokens; just hide them.
Do not import the same seed phrase into multiple wallets for convenience. If one app gets compromised, every wallet from that seed is at risk.
Your seed phrase controls all your wallets. Store it offline only, either on paper or a metal backup, ideally in a safety deposit box. Never store it in Notes apps, cloud storage, or screenshots.
If you have significant funds, invest in a Ledger. Keep the Ledger at home and keep your seed phrase in a bank safety deposit box. If your house burns, your seed is safe. If someone steals your Ledger, three wrong PIN attempts wipe it clean.
Core habits: no random Chrome extensions, seed phrase offline only, bookmark legit sites, use a separate browser profile just for crypto, and never log into wallets on public or shared devices.
Your wallet is you. Keep it clean, don’t trust random sites, disconnect what you don’t need, and learn how social engineering works. Most hacks don’t look like hacks until it’s too late.
Also one last note, treat every single link guilty and malicious until proven innocent.
Healing from the pain of fumbling isn’t easy. Some days I feel completely lost.
But deep down, I know a life without risk is a life that can never be truly won.
@inquixit I’m really proud of you, Inq. I’ve been trying to heal from this pain, and it’s been so hard to find my way back. But deep down, I know a life that’s never risked will never be truly lived. I’m holding onto that. 🤍
Maybe this isn’t the end.
Maybe it’s just a pause.
A moment to breathe.
To learn.
To grow stronger mentally.
If you’re struggling too,
You’re not alone.
One step at a time
We’ll find our way back. 🫂
