While covering the latest Israeli settler attack in the West Bank, Israeli soldiers assaulted my photojournalist @cyrilthps and detained my team.
But our 2-hour detention revealed a lot about the motives of these Israeli soldiers: acting in service of the settler movement.

“Russia is operating in Ukraine surgically; this is NOT a war in the literal sense,” Putin says.
Look at this photo. This is what it actually looks like. Just yesterday, Putin’s forces killed at least four civilians and injured more than 40.
Not a war “in the literal sense”?
If you're worried about the damage done by Project 2025, the progressive think tank The Center For American Progress is preparing a counter-agenda, Project 2029. One of the leading figures guiding the economic plank on that is Larry Summers.
A 16-year-old U.S. citizen from my home state of Florida has spent eight months in an Israeli prison for allegedly throwing a rock at an armored vehicle in which no one was hurt. He’s lost 26 pounds and contracted scabies. He’s just a kid. He deserves to be back home.
If these guys jumped out of a car and grabbed you on the street in Indianapolis or Tampa, would your first thought be that they are government officials? Would compliance be your natural reaction??
He is an Afghan translator with lawful parole status.
Because of the service he rendered our army, the Taliban killed his brother and abducted his father at a family wedding.
Now his wife and children are in hiding in America.
Does a speeding ticket make you a foreign terrorist now, @JDVance?
Thank you protecting us from this Japanese father of five who's here to do scientific research, @StephenM!
Amid fears of a global trade war and worldwide recession set off by Trump’s tariffs, a weekend statement from the White House:
“The President won his second round matchup of the Senior Club Championship today in Jupiter, FL, and advances to the Championship Round tomorrow.”
This is literally fake news. JD Vance didn't read the court documents.
Here is what they actually say.
Abrego Garcia is not a "convicted gang member." He's never been charged or convicted of *any* crime. Police accused him of being MS-13 after stopping him and 3 other men for allegedly loitering outside a Home Depot, where he says he'd gone to apply for a job. It was his first and only time in state custody.
Law enforcement separated the men and interrogated them about gang membership. They told Abrego Garcia he could leave if he gave them information, which he said he didn't have.
One of the other men pointed the finger at Abrego Garcia and accused him of being affiliated with part of a gang that operates in New York, where he's never lived. That—along with the fact that he was wearing *a Chicago Bulls hat and a hoodie*—is the "evidence" law enforcement said showed he was in a gang.
When his lawyer went to find the police report for the Home Depot incident, Abrego Garcia wasn't even named on it. And what about the subsequent gang evaluation? The investigator who authored it was suspended.
In late 2019, Abrego Garcia won his case, was granted protected status, and was released from custody. He has had no arrests since. Those are the facts.
The Trump administration knowingly deported a Maryland father with legal protection from removal—sending him to El Salvador’s megaprison.
Kilmar Abrego Garcia:
– Came to the U.S. at 16 after fleeing gang death threats
– In 2019, an immigration judge granted him withholding of removal, a legal status protecting him from deportation after finding he’d likely be persecuted if returned
– No U.S. criminal record
– Married to a U.S. citizen, father to a 5-year-old disabled son
– Regularly complied with ICE check-ins
– ICE admitted it knew he had legal protection—but put him on the deportation flight anyway
– Not on the manifest—added as an “alternate”
– Now held in a prison for gang members, despite no charges or verified gang affiliation
The government now argues U.S. courts can’t order his return.
His wife recognized him in a propaganda photo released by El Salvador’s president—head forced down, frog-marched by masked guards.
ICE calls it an “administrative error.”
Then says it was done “in good faith.”

This person was a legal immigrant on a student visa and was detained by ICE for the crime of *checks notes* authoring an op-ed asking her university to divest and put out a statement.
Circumcision reduces the transmission of HIV by 50–60%.
Twelve percent of adults in Mozambique have HIV/AIDS, and this sort of action can potentially prevent thousands of new infections.
It’s ultimately good to reduce the transmission of HIV, no matter where it occurs in the world.
These efforts also reduce the global disease burden, which always helps the United States.
Mozambique has also been a hotbed of Islamist insurgency in recent years.
A population grappling with disease will always be easier for terrorists to exploit than one that is healthier.
JUST IN: Another medical horror story in a court affidavit from a USAID employee stationed overseas. Says his pregnant wife was not medevac-ed for emergency health care because of directives from Washington. Took intervention of a U.S. senator to reverse — but was too late.
NEW: On CNN we played numerous examples of Rubio praising foreign aid/USAID as vital to American interests. We also revealed a letter he wrote to Biden in 2022 suggesting USAID's budget needed to be increased to counter Chinese Community Party influence around the globe. Rubio is now echoing criticisms he once rejected.
Trump's order to freeze foreign aid has real & widespread impact on people's lives, it has intensified humanitarian crises and raised questions about the United States’ reliability as a global leader. Gift link:
