What an incredible project. It is so beautiful. I love this as a means of unleashing creativity AND teaching kids about how we can reuse materials to increase sustainability in our community! Way to go!
Every single class was part of this school wide art project. They created this creature completely from our school recycling and designed it from start to finish ! @cpsfinearts@twomileprairie#cpsbest#prairieproud
What fun it was getting our collaboration with MU health and nutrition going last year, getting that big grant money, meeting with Emily Spain about the EMvp story, and working so hard to get everything set up. Grateful Gentry has continued the project!!

Love seeing pictures of the programming in action! Russell Boulevard has some incredible teachers leading their Kindness Club and I'm certainly grateful for them and the impact they are having in CPS!
Kindness Rock Garden coming along nicely over at Russell Boulevard Elementary! Exciting to showcase these gardens at every CPS elementary and middle school!
@Mizzou This individual should be immediately expelled, without the opportunity for a refund or to finish her semester classes. This is unacceptable and those are actions you can take to show you agree, MU.
I loved finally getting to meet Precious in person. She was, well...just Precious! The research is clear, Humane Education should be included in every child's educational experience. Thank you Central Missouri Humane Society!
Research clearly shows many positive outcomes for kids when you include Humane Education lessons. Thank you Precious, Mr. DeVries and Central Missouri Humane Society! When Precious visits, kids learn her heartbreaking, inspiring story and how they can make a difference!
Best lunch break ever! I feel so lucky to have had MU OT school accept my collaboration request and I am so impressed by the work these students have done. Today I attended their presentation and was gifted a beautiful copy of their final product! Start your own inclusion garden!
What an honor to be a nominee. I love this picture of Kim Dude, President of the Children's Grove, and I at the luncheon. This is one incredible community! @ChildrensGrove
@DrBradJohnson Modeling being an active, contributing participant in a community..through collaboration with other classes, clubs, community groups, etc. Kids need to know they are an important part of something larger and they need to see that helping support one another is vitally important.
Thrilled to celebrate Mrs. Lacey and the work she is doing at LSE! Sponsoring a club with 65 kids is no easy task but she's never backed down from a challenge! Proud to know her!
Sponsor Spotlight November! Meet Mrs. Lacey, the incredible Kindness Club Sponsor over at Locust Street Elementary! She is dedicated, creative, and the perfect model for kindness in all the things she does. Congratulations @LaceyLSEArts
The Kindness Club at Locust Street is starting out STRONG. Kudos to Mrs. Lacey and our community partners for coming out to support learning with such a big group of kids! 65 strong right out of the gate! Way to go, LSE!
Today's kindness club focus was growth mindset and positive self-talk. Ss worked through a directed drawing journal that challenged them to embrace practice and have positive self-talk. @LSEArts@CpsInclusion#cpsbest
Love this bulletin board shared by our Kindness Club sponsor over at Locust Street Elementary. What a great visual for the kids to see kindness grow AND get ideas for a kind act of their own.
Hey @LSEArts magic makers! Come bring your class by our hallway and add to our kindness board! Anyone may take a heart and write a kind act on it and then leave it in the box and I'll put it up! #cpsbest
@alextvalencic 'Preps' in my district refers to the number of different classes you are planning for. Sped teachers may say they have 5 preps because they are planning for (example) a sped math, english, study skills, co-teach section, and a reading course.
Laurel Caudle, over at Shepard Boulevard Elementary, has an awesome group of kiddos in her Kindness Club! Sheβs off to a great start with a bunch of students ready to build community and practice kindness ..here are just a few enthusiastic kindness ambassadors in her club!
