@tonichelleak 👆🏻This is why we don’t really do social media much anymore except if we are racing. We run dogs because we enjoy it. It’s cool that other people like seeing us do it and enjoy us having fun but it’s still our life and we are still entitled to our privacy.
@yanawrites@WildpipM Tbh I still think of #the100 and how alienated the final season left me feeling from a show I truly loved. It could have been so much more.
@Kristieinaction @BlairBraverman@QuinceMountain Yeah, it’s really a good thing to carry on any new trail if you haven’t scouted it or ran in awhile. It’s also why mushers always carry axes in their sleds. 😁
@TeamPetit3 You’re so sweet. Honestly if you are hungry while mushing I would drink first. I really like these “hydration” packets that they sell at Costco called Liquid IV. I think they’re good but a lot of people don’t like them. It’s much more common to be dehydrated than to be starving
@TeamPetit3 I pack a LOT of snacks when I train. I usually bring crackers and cheese, thermos of hot chicken broth, smoked salmon....
On races I try to eat “meals” in checkpoints and pack lots of whole food snacks on runs vs stuff that’s high in sugar.
@TeamPetit3 String cheese, trail mix, chicken, steak, pieces of bacon... I find these (although less satisfying then chocolate, cookies, candy, etc) do better by my body in both the short & long term.
For a treat & in warm weather, otter pops are fun!
