I am an active, life-long member of @Ch_JesusChrist The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I try every day to focus on & show Christ my gratitude for His Atonement for my sins. I do this by being the best version of myself, and when I fall short, which I always do, Jesus Christ’s Grace still covers me. I also know that it doesn’t need to be a huge, elaborate, or expensive effort, just the best I can be in my personal situation. To do this, I try to be honest in everything I do, I try to be kind to others yet firm in my principles. I also try to serve others to the best of my ability as often as possible. I promise that as I’ve done this, the more love & compassion I have for others, and the more I feel my Savior’s love for me which brings more hope in the future, more positivity in my present, and less regret about my past.
@SelinaAnneXX@BlakeBednarz There was a drone that interrupted all cell data so if you were live streaming, it messed up just moments before the shot. It lasted enough to prevent it from being live streamed.
If you don't vote, I don't want to hear you ever complain about any of the filth, crime, or decline in LA again. Get off your butt and VOTE, or enjoy what you get.
@SergeCostab@KonstantinKisin@sunQ_osrs This post was made very close to the incident before the facts came out showing he died of a fentanyl overdose. He was all drugged out during the whole incident.
If someone still believes this, that would be a problem & reveals their true character.
The only thing that stops violent men from raping you and your society are other men who are equally willing to be violent in stopping the rapists. The West has decided that the highest virtue is to quietly comply with the destruction of your civilization because to do otherwise is bigoted toward the rapists. It really is that simple.
In recognition of the 250-year anniversary of the founding of the United States of America as a free and independent nation, Elder Quentin L. Cook and I discussed the importance of religious liberty and its underlying significance for the restored Church of Jesus Christ.
We believe in religious liberty.
As the Eleventh Article of Faith reminds us, “We claim the privilege of worshiping Almighty God according to the dictates of our own conscience, and allow all men the same privilege, let them worship how, where, or what they may.”
There are those on this platform, and IRL over the last 200 years, who obsess about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints so much that being “against Jesus Christ’s restored gospel” has become “who they are”.
To these ardent and often vitriolic anti-LDS personalities I reiterate what so many others have said.
Your posts will not move me from the testimony I have received. The Holy Ghost has confirmed the reality of Jesus Christ and His restored gospel to me, and that truth guides my life. Through personal witness manifest of the Spirit, I have come to know this for myself.
I wish you well as you walk your own path. It would be better for all of us to spend our energy living what we believe instead of arguing about the faith of others, or worse, pretending we can command God and be His gatekeeper.
Nevertheless, I know what God has revealed to me, and I cannot deny a lifetime of personal experiences with God. Nor will I.
Here's what bothers me about all the artists pulling out of The Great American State Fair. Martina McBride, Bret Michaels, Milli Vanilli (who knew they were still around) and others claim that they can't play this event because it's too divisive and has caused security concerns.
PLEASE, HELP ME UNDERSTAND. I can't see the people who want to attend a Freedom 250 event causing security threats. Are these threats instead coming from the people who are AGAINST this celebration?
And what part of Freedom 250 is divisive? Please, be specific. I love Martina McBride. What changed that made this event no longer "non-partisan?" I'd like to know because NONE of this should be about politics.
I remember the Bicentennial. Everyone got together, Republicans and Democrats, to celebrate the 200th birthday of our nation. I remember people HATED President Ford and Nixon at the time. But they still showed up to celebrate. They didn’t boycott due to the person in the Oval Office. The celebration was bigger than the president.
Freedom 250 should be exactly the same. No politics. No partisanship. If that's really what it's turning into, I'd like to know exactly how. Until then, it just looks like partisanship and fear of retaliation from their own side when performers drop out.
@SecDuffy@FMCSA This is so tragic. 4 of the 5 that were killed were all in one vehicle hit by the bus. That poor family lost 4 loved ones in one day. My prayers go out to them!
How about the definition and importance of marriage changed when it became something on a tax form.
That’s not what it is, yes culture was already eroding, & marriage along with it, but the minute it won legally, it completely erased any and all meaning to marriage.
It no longer has any meaning now.
Can artificial intelligence replace God? That question may sound provocative, but in an age when we turn to algorithms for answers, guidance, and even comfort, it matters deeply.
I invite you to join me at https://t.co/DvO30jz9aP on June 7 as we discuss how to hear God's voice in an age of artificial intelligence.
@DRDavidReece@RykerJackson97@LGHendersonUtah They have all that data anyways and more. It’s not like the IRS or Dept of Education die have most of that information in other reports.
They don’t have your voting habits but you can buy voter lists and are given a lot of that info too.
It’s just insane to cite privacy.
