@mattvanswol Actually, it’s probably more like more than 50% of what your great-great-grandchildren will earn. And that’s optimistic. We’ve sold all our descendants into debt slavery.
Nailed it.
If Christian leadership and Christian universities oppose their students being political, the ONLY political students left are non-Christians.
I would argue this country was founded on Christian beliefs, and Christian beliefs need to be integrated into politics.
SCOOP: Teachers at schools in @WCPSS have been handing out these flyers promoting anti-ICE protests— urging students to wave foreign flags and print signs demeaning ICE.
.@WCPSS is indoctrinating students to protest for left-wing causes.
Parents, BEWARE
@libsoftiktok They got what they wanted, his resignation. He’s a D who is pragmatic enough to vote with the Rs when it is good for his district. The Dem party has been out for his skin for a while.
Well, I’m at the “No Kings” protest in downtown Asheville.
I wore my FREEDOM shirt, and for the first time in my life…
…I put on a MAGA hat ❤️🇺🇸
There were a lot of angry people who were mean, but also SO many people that hugged me and said thank you.
GOD BLESS TRUMP!!!
MUST WATCH: Undercover investigation by @AccuracyInMedia EXPOSES city official from Raleigh, NC, for SECRETLY pushing DEI initiatives despite Trump's EOs.
Briana Scurry, the Assistant. Director of Economic and Social Advancement, who introduced herself privately as the "Assistant Director for Equity and Inclusion," ADMITS that multiple city departments are hiding their DEI initiatives.
"We don't want to draw attention to ourselves... we want to make sure this work is as protected as possible... We do partner oftentimes with [the Dept. of] Community Engagement."
The City of Raleigh needs to be investigated immediately.
I'm starting to see a worrying trend...
I haven't figured out exactly the best way to say it, but I'll try my best here.
I was fairly liberal up until the end of last year.
There was probably little anyone could have said to change my mind on some of the core issues of the day.
I thought people like @libsoftiktok, for example, were stoking racial division and was a bigot for just pointing out the double standard of news that was being buried.
I thought that... until it happened to me too.
The news buried the coverage of Hurricane Helene recovery for months and months.
The only reason I have a big following on this platform is because for nearly 6 months straight, I refused to let the stories of people in Western North Carolina die.
I chose to find the stories, talk to people, film the videos, write the stories, and post them.
I did it every single day, without fail.
It took awhile... but I learned a valuable lesson that I'm worried conservatives/MAGA/the Right is forgetting these days.
My mind wasn't changed from liberal to conservative because of retaliatory tactics.
Rarely does ANYONE change their mind on any issue because someone "taught them a lesson" or "dunked" on them.
Had conservatives done this to me during Hurricane Helene, I likely would have stayed entrenched in my own positions.
But that's NOT what happened.
So please listen to me when I say this: What changed my mind what consist, unwavering, unapologetic, acts of kindness combined with the justification and motivation of them.
For me, for a VERY VERY long time, just the thought of, "I am a fairly liberal person and lean Left on most issues" created a FALSE sense of comfort that I was a good, kind, and empathetic human.
That if I just SAID or even THOUGHT that I was "left" that I magically cared MORE about the plight of people who were hurting or marginalized more than any MAGA conservative.
I WAS WRONG.
I learned I was wrong because the people who stepped up to help didn't ask me my political views.
They didn't stomp on my throat when I said something they disagreed with.
They just delivered RVs to people who lost their homes, looked me dead in the eyes and said, "because no one else will..." and then explained, in detail, their conservative beliefs.
And they were exactly right.
What I'm trying to say, perhaps very poorly, is that the Left (and me up until recently) believes they have a monopoly on empathy and kindness so they attract people to their movement because people WANT TO BELIEVE they are good people...
...but don't want to do the HARD WORK of actually DOING good things, they just want to believe they are good by stint of identifying with "the good side..."
This was me, to a tee.
I demonized people solely based on their affiliation with one side, not based on their actions, not based on the merit of their ideas, and certainly not based in any sort of willingness to learn about how I could be wrong.
I see this happening, albeit not as often, by some on the Right and please, take it from me... if there's one way to lose someone who is on the brink of "waking up" it's to demonize them because of who they are without asking the tough questions of "what do you believe?"
I hope this made sense, in some small way.
Thoughts on the morning after a historic day. Maybe the best day of my 19-year career in politics.
To paraphrase his uber-fan Kid Rock, Trump came in "like a train that rolls hard letting off much steam." Except he wasn't wearing cutoff flannel or dusty jeans, baby, but his traditional power suit and power tie. And he was dressed for the occasion, wielding as much power on day one as any president ever has in modern times. And it was all meant to convey a message.
To quote a one-word text I got last night from one of my friends/contacts/little birdies in the second Trump Administration: "War."
The Democrat Party formally declared war on the fundamental values that forged America in 2008. When the man whose pastor proclaimed "God d*** America" took office and systemically began to remake it in the image of a faculty meeting at Cal Berkely, with a gameplan right out of a book dedicated to Satan.
Since then, the level of rancor/division/coercion/targeting in our politics and culture has reached Cold Civil War levels. Since then, the Right has been mostly paralyzed in its attempted opposition by either cowardice, treachery, media malice, dissension, or ineffectiveness.
In 2016, Trump had the right message and moxie, but between media malice contriving one crisis or scandal after another, and his own inexperience, his presidency never could quite get its consistent bearings despite successes (particularly in foreign policy). That culminated on March 16, 2020, when the Trump presidency effectively ended via the scamdemic.
Its very clear Trump v2.0 has spent a lot of time the last four years self-scouting, and this version is not only ready but eager for battle. For indeed, yesterday was a counter-declaration of war. The Right, finally, is now fully engaged in the Cold Civil War. It has its general, it has its battle plan.
That battle plan came in the form of Trump's barrage of executive orders, bombarding the Left on so many different fields of ideological and philosophical battle simultaneously unlike anything we (and they) could have imagined. To be clear, these are not panaceas which instantly fix things, but they're not intended to be. They're intended to be the "come and take it" of public policy. This was the equivalent of Dirty Harry saying, "Go ahead make my day."
Rather than one policy, one issue, or one speech the enemy can key in on and deconstruct rolled out over time, Trump launched the political equivalent of a D-Day. This is the largest amphibious political assault we have ever seen, but it is what was needed to counter the largest invasion/infestation of our country and its institutions we have ever suffered.
What was declared yesterday in an incredible inaugural speech that was more a criminal indictment before the world of the traitors who intentionally tried to burn down our way of life, and then quantified in the hundreds of EOs signed later by Trump, will take years to adjudicate in the courts of law and public opinion. But if you're a serious ideologue like myself, January 20th will be a day long remembered.
For the first time it seems our side is now fully committed to victory, even if there will be (and at times necessary) disagreements along the way of how to ultimately get there. Was it not something to see to witness the vast majority of us rowing in the same direction for a change? That's what leadership does and means. That's what a vision/plan does. That's what Trump provided yesterday.
Yesterday was the day Trump evolved from a needed provocateur to an even more needed president.
Trump blew up the Death Star. A key battle was won, we have finally fully joined the war, the rebellion is on, but the war is far from over. And never forget, the Empire always strikes back.
Let me close by saying this. From the time I received my first phone call from Trump about running for president in 2013, I have wondered "is this guy really serious?" My uncertainty in that regard is why over the years I have held every conceivable position about him as our standard-bearer (both for and against) someone on the Right can have and still be moderately sane.
This explains why his defiant and heroic reaction to almost being assassinated spoke to me directly, and took me from "vote Trump to stop the communists" to being fully invested. This is why the way he ran his campaign after that fateful moment did the same. Yesterday confirmed for me this is the battle. It was the last 19 years of my show come to life.
This is the general chosen for the moment. This is our fight. This is our time.
Fight! Fight! Fight!
While it was Trump‘s inauguration day, it was only made possible by American’s wholesale rejection of arguably the most significant propaganda effort in modern history. It’s wildly impressive that we’re even here. Pat yourself on the back. I’m headed to bed.
All I want for my birthday today is for you to forward this post: "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life." -John 3:16
If you voted for Trump-Vance-Tulsi-RFK-Musk because you want to end the pedophile-abortion cult that runs our political swamp, please like this post and retweet it so everybody knows where you stand on child sacrifice.
