Just because a particular person didn’t turn out to be who you thought they were doesn’t mean Jesus is not who he says he is. Don’t ever confuse Jesus with people.
Growing up is when we stop looking for someone else to do what we can do ourselves. Do what you wish people would do. Be who you wish they would be. Every toddler can point fingers. Grown ups take responsibility. The novel concept of our day: grown ups acting like grown ups.

Your heart is much too beautiful of a place for bitterness, anger, and resentment.
That hurt you experienced is real. But it’s taken enough away from you.
Time to let some peaceful and pleasant seeds take root and flourish and crowd out the weeds.
We want to be overcomers with nothing to overcome. Courageous with nothing to fear. Loving with no catalyst to hate. Servants with no jerks to serve. Givers without our wallets involved. Carriers of causes instead of crosses. And Jesus is way too good to let us get away with it.
The situation that's so hurtful? Free yourself from taking things into your own hands. And don't let your feelings be your Holy Spirit & lead you to board the crazy train.
Ask God to help you live like you trust Him. Hand it all over to Him. And believe He will guide & help you.
The biggest lie of the enemy is that we are not good enough to do what God has called us to do.
