@taomo_zhou From my (2019) recollection, the Lu Xun Memorial Park was the same. Statutes of male literary figures. Ding Ling was hidden somewhere behind a big ol' plant, well outside the park, in a random street. Found her musing while on a walk.
We're still reminiscing about the 2-day Conference held last week in Hong Kong. The discussions, presentations, and networking were insightful and engaging. We're also grateful to have Evelyn Welch, VC of UoB, chair a keynote session for us.
I keep accidentally ending up in the right place at the right time, totally did not plan on being in Hong Kong for @viviankonghk's presentation but very glad I was able to be there in person. On my immediate to purchase list.
Really excited that my book with @cambUP_History@CambridgeUP, Multiracial Britishness: Global Networks in Hong Kong, 1910-45, will be out this Thursday on 2 November! Here's a glimpse of the contents page :)
