🌐 Open USD Brings 140+ Companies Behind a New Stablecoin Model

@OpenStandard has announced OUSD, a dollar-pegged stablecoin backed by a consortium of more than 140 companies, including Visa, Mastercard, Stripe, BlackRock, Coinbase, Google, Shopify, BNY and Standard Chartered.

Participants will be able to mint and redeem OUSD without fees or volume limits, while most reserve revenue will be distributed among participating companies after a management fee.

@Tempo plans to support OUSD natively from day one across payments, liquidity, exchanges and DeFi.

OUSD was announced in June and is expected to go live later in 2026. It is not yet a live stablecoin.

🤖 RippleX Expands XRPL AI Kit With Machine Payments

@RippleXDev has released v1.1 of the XRPL AI Starter Kit, adding support for the Machine Payments Protocol developed by @Stripe and @Tempo, alongside the Open Wallet Standard.

The goal is to make ripple:native and ethereum:0x8292bb45bf1ee4d140127049757c2e0ff06317ed easier to integrate into AI agent workflows.

With MPP, a service can quote a price, an AI agent can authorize the payment and the requested resource, such as data or compute, can then be delivered.

The update builds on the kit’s previous x402 integration and expands the payment standards available to XRPL developers.

This is developer infrastructure, not a commercial Stripe rollout. But it puts ripple:native and RLUSD closer to an emerging market: payments made directly by AI agents.
