It makes me wonder if there was only "general spouse dialog" in the English and no way to check if the text is being said by a male spouse or a female one to divide the Japanese duplicated lines properly.

The Japanese translation of #StardewValley was great at the start, but the further into the game I go, the more problems I find. This dialog looks copied and pasted from the equivalent of "<this is what a male spouse would say> / <this is what a female spouse would say>"
