Thierry Henry🗣️: “If we’re going to be completely honest, I’m not going to sit here and fool myself by saying Sevilla had a better chance of winning that game than Real Madrid. Madrid played good football, and I’m not taking that away from them. But that doesn’t change the fact that refereeing decisions can completely change the direction of a match.

At some point, I was watching the game and thinking, come on! This is one of the reasons the Premier League can sometimes look more consistent when it comes to certain disciplinary decisions. Some of the incidents we saw today would be judged very differently in England.

Let’s start with Arda Güler. For me, that challenge on the Sevilla player deserved serious scrutiny. If the referee judged it to be violent conduct, then a red card should have been considered. You cannot overlook an incident like that simply because of who the player is.

And think about the consequences. If Güler had been sent off, Real Madrid would have been playing with ten men, and Sevilla would have had a much better opportunity to get back into the game. Instead, he stayed on the pitch and went on to score. That is why these decisions matter!

Then we have the Mbappé penalty. Honestly, I have serious questions about that one. From the replay, it looked to me like he went down too easily, and I can understand why people are calling it a dive. The referee has to be absolutely certain before awarding a penalty in a situation like that.

Now, does that mean Sevilla would have won if those decisions had gone differently? No, you cannot say that. Football doesn’t work like that. But you also cannot pretend these moments have no impact on the game.

The result is already there. Real Madrid won 4-1, and nobody can change that now. But the officials have to be careful because these are the kinds of incidents that create unnecessary controversy.

A small mistake in refereeing can make a massive difference in football. That is why we have VAR, that is why we have referees, and that is why consistency is so important.

Real Madrid deserve credit for their performance, but the officiating deserves to be discussed too. Both things can be true at the same time.”

Tragedia en tres actos.

1. Ayuso da la orden de cerrar el metro de la puerta del sol para echarle la culpa a los acampados.

2. RENFE que tiene estación allí dice que está todo ok y mantiene su estación abierta.

3. El comité de empresa del Metro tiene que emitir un comunicado para desmentir a la ultra neofascista, ellos no saben nada, solo sus declaraciones.

4. Esto ya es opinión mía.
Ayuso se cree que Madrid con los madrileños dentro, le pertenece, puede hacer y deshacer lo que le plazca.
Es capaz de cerrar una estación de metro como Sol, con lo que ello conlleva de lío para los madrileños, no para ella, para sacar rédito político.
La gran mayoría de usuaria del metro va a señalar a los acampados.
Esta gentuza no puede controlar el gobierno central, si ella pudiera ya habrían entrado a porrazos en la acampada.
