No matter our divisions, we're more alike than we are different. Don't let anyone convince you otherwise.
🔞I post "spice".
It should come as no great surprise that a Democratic Party which has abandoned working class people would find that the working class has abandoned them.
While the Democratic leadership defends the status quo, the American people are angry and want change.
And they’re right.
@arvalis Pokemon is a victim of its own success and market penetration. A masterpiece Pokemon game that costs twice as much time and money will be unlikely to have the same profit margins as a game that costs half as much time and money.
Bad games just make more fiduciary sense.
@yung1hardaway @BaddieStreams@SaffronOlive Again, proxies are a completely viable way to circumvent this entire issue. I've enjoyed the game a whole lot more since I stopped caring how "valuable" any of my cards are.
@yung1hardaway @BaddieStreams@SaffronOlive Sol ring isn't exactly my favorite card, but it's not exactly a barrier to entry. Every precon comes with one, and they're dirt cheap otherwise. That doesn't really contradict the sentiment.
@yung1hardaway @BaddieStreams@SaffronOlive I also don't know what your local play environment is like, but we don't even bother to ask if proxies are okay at my LGS. It's just assumed that they are. You don't *have* to buy in to the overpriced commodities trading side of the game.
@yung1hardaway @BaddieStreams@SaffronOlive Okay, good? Overinflated cost should not be a barrier to competence for any game. If price excludes players from being able to play at their best, the healthiest thing to do for the game is to drop the price.
@yung1hardaway @BaddieStreams@SaffronOlive Maybe don't invest so heavily in artificially scarce commodities whose only use value exists in being game pieces?
@celestialysia Have you ever thought about how the most people mock the imperial measurement system for being duodecimal, yet still count time by the same standard without issue or complaint?
Because I think about the linguistics of math A LOT.
@Keyblader007@AboutElizabethM Japanese humor makes extensive use of puns and onomatopoeia, so I'm guessing it's just a joke about how you can make the name of the cookie by coding it's layers with those syllables.
@Keyblader007@AboutElizabethM The cookie is お (Ō) while the cream is れ (re). So a typical cookie is おれお (Ō -re-ō) while a pile of cream is れれれれれれれ (re-re-re-re-re-re-re).
