Over 18 lakh enterprises have shut down since its launch. Big corporates manage with teams of experts, while small players struggle daily. States have lost financial independence, and fuel stays outside the system, pushing up transport costs and inflation. GST was meant to unite India’s market, but it has deepened economic imbalance. Real reform is needed-fewer slabs, timely refunds, a reliable portal, and a voice for state governments.
