THERE MUST BE ARRESTS
Last thoughts on Karmelo Anthony before he disappears for a long time:
- The defense only called 6 witnesses and rested abruptly
- The only person to speak on his behalf during the punishment phase was his mother.
- The defense didn’t even think to prepare him to testify on his own behalf
Additionally, there were no teachers, counselors, church members, etc. willing to discuss his character in court and plead for him to have another chance at life. Nobody could vouch he was really a good kid and was going to be a contributing member of society someday.
The jury heard closing statements, deliberated, found him guilty, then completed the punishment phase all in one day.
In other words, there was no way to adequately defend or humanize this animal.
Richard "Dick" Lasher was on his way to drive his dirt bike when Mount St Helens erupted on May 18, 1980.
He spent the Saturday night packing some gear figuring he would head out first thing in the morning to get a look at the mountain.
His plan was hitching his Yamaha IT enduro bike to the back of his Pinto, driving up to Spirit Lake, then exploring the area via dirt forest roads on the bike.
Lasher drove down toward Spirit Lake from the north, likely dropping down from U.S. 12 and the town of Randle into the forest roads of the Gifford Pinchot National Forest.
He possibly made it as far south as Forest Road 26 by 8:32 that morning of May 18.
The time the volcano blew.
And if he had made it to the lake, he would almost certainly have died. The sheer force of the blast lifted the lake out of its bed and propelled it about 85 stories into the air to splash onto adjacent mountain slopes.
Luckily for him, and he did not realize until later just how lucky, he was on the opposite side of that ridge in front, because the entire forest was flattened from the ridge down, and he was in the lee side and protected from most of the blast.
That's the photo: a red Ford Pinto with a blue dirt bike hitched to its bumper, angled across a forest road.

1/ There will never be a better time than now to attack Europe, says a prominent Russian warblogger. Alexey Zhivov says that victory in Ukraine is slipping away, so Russia needs to act like Iran and attack all the facilities in the EU that are being used to help Ukraine. ⬇️
🚨 JUST IN: The DOJ has released HIGH QUALITY security camera footage of attempted Trump assassin Cole Allen SPRINTING through the security checkpoint at WHCA’s dinner

Secret Service is adamant their agent was NOT struck by friendly fire, but was shot by Cole Allen with a 12-gauge shotgun.
“Venus” was the hit song from 1969 by Shocking Blue that gave us the unforgettable hook “I’m your Venus, I’m your fire, at your desire.” 🔥 Then Bananarama revived it in 1986 and it hit #1 all over again.
