Our @AjHematology study: liberalizing ferritin thresholds (≤15 WHO → ≤30 ASH → ≤45 AGA) flags more postmenopausal women & men with GI bleeding risk factors, but risks over-testing premenopausal women whose deficiency is often dietary.
