Year 2 have been stranded on a desert island this afternoon! We have thought about what humans need to survive. We sent a message in a bottle to a nearby fishing boat with a list of everything we need for survival - food, water, shelter and warmth!ποΈ
Ahoy there matey! Year 2 have been designing and making pirate hats this afternoon. We have learned that pirates were fashion conscious and practical - they used to store their maps in the brim of their tricorn hats! β οΈ
Key Stage 1 have been thinking about what makes a good friend. We created a recipe for a good friend, including our "allergies" that we do not want in our recipe!
Year 1 have been learning the greater than and less than mathematical signs / symbols this week. We used cubes and paper straws to consolidate our learning.
Watford Schools Trust visited Year 1 last week. Through rhyme, role play and actions, using the poem 'In the Beginning' by Steve Turner, we learnt the Story of Creation. We then 'created' the seven days using a variety of craft resources.
KS1 had a super afternoon as scientists. We investigated whether children with the biggest hands can hold the most cubes. Then created magical lillies.
Year 1 have been scientists this afternoon. We planned an investigation to answer this question - Do people with bigger feet need larger gloves? We used paper clips and cubes to measure our hands and feet.
Year 4 have had a fabulous day @ISKCON_Manor Hare Krishna Temple in Watford. We have learnt even more about Hinduism, enjoyed dressing up and dined on great food. Thank you to all at the Manor who made today so perfect.
