Look for "Export" buttons in enterprise software.

Every time someone exports from Salesforce to analyze deals, or QuickBooks to build reports, or Stripe to reconcile payments - they're telling you exactly what work needs to be automated.

Every export button is telling you: "There's manual work here that shouldn't exist."

Here's my framework for finding these opportunities :

1) Find the repetitive pain

I watch how people actually use enterprise software daily. Look for where they:

* Export data just to reformat it
* Copy/paste between two expensive tools
* Build the same report every week
* Maintain massive spreadsheets by hand
* Write the same analysis over and over

2) Add intelligence everywhere

Every manual task is an LLM opportunity:

* Turn exports into instant insights
* Convert messy data into clean reports
* Generate analysis automatically
* Surface patterns humans miss
* Automate routine writing

3) Look for data silos

Find places where valuable data gets stuck:

* Reports that need manual updating
* Dashboards no one looks at
* Analytics trapped in one department
* Metrics that should talk to each other but don't (love seeing this suchhh a good sign)
* Insights buried in spreadsheets

4) Find the missing connections

Watch for places where people say "I wish these two things worked together":

* Tools that should integrate but don't
* Data that needs manual reconciliation
* Systems forcing double entry
* Reports requiring multiple sources

5) Start small, grow naturally

Build for one clear pain point and one reallyyyyyy clear niche:

* Pick a niche that Microsoft or OpenAI isn't picking
* Focus on one workflow that sucks
* Make it 10x better with AI
* Let the AI suggest next actions
* Charge immediately
* Let users pull you into adjacent problems

Tell that to the 100M+ deals exported from Salesforce yearly. Or the millions of QuickBooks reports. Or every Stripe dashboard export.

But you're right - this goes way beyond exports. Here are other buttons hiding gold mines:

* "Generate Report" (could be automatic with AI)
* "Schedule Meeting" (still manual in 2024?)
* "Upload CSV" (why not just take a photo?)
* "Reconcile Data" (should happen in real-time)
* "Create Template" (AI can do this now)
* "Format Document" (one-click with LLMs)
* "Compile Data" (automate it)
* "Review Changes" (AI can flag what matters)

Every manual button is an AI opportunity waiting to happen.

Smart founders are already rebuilding these workflows with AI superpowers.
