@HavryshkoMarta More disastrous decisions devastating PR's with their staunchest allies. Are Russian assets driving the Ukrainian government to self destruct?
Zelensky is paying tribute to yet another antisemite: Yevhen Konovalets, a Nazi collaborator and leader of the OUN.
It was under Konovalets’s leadership that the OUN developed its antisemitic agenda.
In 1934, Konovalets wrote:
“If nationalism is waging war against mixed marriages insofar as conquerors (especially Poles and Russians) are concerned, then it cannot bypass the problem of mixed marriages with Jews, who are indisputably if not greater, then at least comparable, foes of our rebirth.”
His own views, together with the antisemitism of other OUN leaders, ultimately found their expression in the pogroms of the summer of 1941 and in collaboration with Nazi Germany during the Holocaust.
Today, President Zelensky—a man of Jewish descent whose grandfather served in the Red Army, defending Soviet Jews from Nazi extermination—is paying tribute to Konovalets and, through him, to the OUN as a whole.
Again.
And once again, Europe will look the other way, pretending that Ukraine has no problem with honoring people who embraced fascist ideology, participated in the Holocaust, and were implicated in mass war crimes against civilians.
Zelensky’s Jewishness has become a fig leaf for the apologetics of Nazism in Ukraine—met with a standing ovation from the West.
@HavryshkoMarta Ukrainians are shooting themselves in the foot. Would not be surprised if it's the Russian infiltration withing the Ukrainian ranks totally devastating the PR with their allies.
@P_Kallioniemi So why has Ukraine recently started glorifying their Nazi past? They are honoring extreme nationalists SS collaborators responsible for genocide on indigenous peoples on a scale many magnitudes larges than Bucha or Irpin!
Right Sector, a far-right organization integrated into Ukraine’s Armed Forces, regularly runs military-patriotic training camps for young people.
At these camps, children are given body armor bearing Nazi Totenkopf patches.
But don’t worry:
Ukraine has a Jewish president, and the leading Western think tanks will explain to you why none of this is a problem. And if you still think otherwise, please report yourself as a “Kremlin agent.”
As every year, we paid tribute to 11 girl scouts aged 14-17 killed by the Germans at the Wola hospital on 5 August 1944. They were killed together with all the sick people, the doctors and nurses.
Between 5 and 7 August, the Germans murdered with unimaginable cruelty about 50-60,000 people (mostly women and children) in “The Wola Slaughter” (Rzeź Woli).
The commander of the slaughter, Heinz Reinefarth, was a respected city mayor in Germany after the war.
Russian actor Alexey Yarmushchik published a video criticizing Putin, stating that he no longer wants to remain silent.
According to the 25-year-old Yarmushchik, he does not know a single peer of his who loves and respects Putin — they only fear him.
“I do not want you to be my president. Never in my life. […] I do not want to watch your television. […] I want to listen to my songs. I do not want to use VK. I want to use Instagram. […] I do not believe that Crimea is ours. […] All my acquaintances are leaving. I do not know where these people are who love you as president and respect you. You are not my president.”
"We need to break into elementary school classrooms. Our heroic veterans must become role models for young Ukrainians,"
declares "Nachtigall"—Yuriy Mykhalchyshyn, an officer in the Azov-rooted Third Assault Brigade.
So, the Azov movement wants to turn Ukraine's public schools into factories of nationalist indoctrination and militarized identity, raising children on the myths and ideology of the OUN and UPA—movements implicated by historians in the Holocaust, ethnic cleansing of Poles, and terror against "bad" Ukrainians.
Mykhalchyshyn's nom de guerre, "Nachtigall," is borrowed from the Nazi collaborationist battalion formed by OUN members in 1941 under Roman Shukhevych, a unit linked to anti-Jewish violence.
His résumé speaks for itself. He edited Vatra, a magazine that republished the Nazi Party program, Alfred Rosenberg, and Ukrainian racial-nationalist and antisemitic ideologues. He has openly championed "social nationalism."
These are the people now grooming Ukraine's children.
And the West keeps writing the checks—branding the whole exercise as "freedom," "democracy," and "decolonization." Orwell would have called it propaganda.
While @LauraLoomer is busy misleading millions of Americans by claiming that there are "no Nazis" in Ukraine and that promoting Nazism is punishable by prison, here’s a fresh photo of two officers from the AFU' Karpatska Sich battalion wearing T-shirts glorifying the Waffen-SS Galicia Division.
Behind them hangs a flag bearing the official emblem of the 3rd SS Panzer Division "Totenkopf". Karpatska Sich soldiers are openly wearing Totenkopf T-shirts.
The facts speak for themselves.
@ErukanuSenpai@frontlinekit Never said Ukraine is a fascist state and admire their struggle with Russia. Just concerned about resurgence and glorification of extreme nationalists, who have in the past been Nazi collaborators and committed genocide on Jews, Poles, Hungarians and others.
