“Miami in my opinion all they need is a true center. I love Bam. That’s my guy. But he’s not a center, he’s a power forward. So you got him going against the Embiid’s, the Joker’s, the Gobert’s…Guys who got him by at least 4-5” & outweigh him by at least 60-80lbs. That makes a difference at some point in the game. I think Miami all they need is a big man. Their guards are good. They’re solid.” - @iam_sheed
“[Bam’s] really a power forward.” - @stephenasmith

"[Celtics, Bucks, Sixers], and even the top teams don't want to see the Miami Heat in a 7 game series... They're in the mix again to return to the NBA Finals."
Agree with @LegsESPN? 🤔

Think for one moment. In every single war that America has fought, we have never asked for land afterward—except for enough to bury the Americans who gave the ultimate sacrifice for freedom.
Tyrese Haliburton thinks the winner of the in-season tournament should get an automatic playoff bid
“I think the greatest incentive for everybody to do it would be an automatic playoff bid. If it was a playoff spot, I think everyone would take it very, very serious, right? I think the older teams would take it serious.”

@Chrispysoraus I don’t like that they left Ben and Henry behind but in the world of comics (especially DC) reboots are normal. I see it as a different universe. That’s what they have to do. If they want to keep Gal then can do like they did in the Wonder Woman Rebirth comic.
Some suspected white supremacists assaulted and jumped on a Black security guard at a riverboat in Montgomery Alabama, after he told them to move their boat.
The Black community pulled up and reminded the suspected white supremacists that this wasn’t the year 1963.
Try THAT in a Small Town.

Jimmy Butler only got 1 JuCo scholarship out of high school. He accidentally got scouted by Marquette. Was deemed as not a max player by 3 NBA franchises.
Erik Spoelstra was a video coordinator for the Heat. People wanted him fired in year 1 as a Head Coach with the Heatles.
Two franchises picked Mike Conley and Goran Dragic to be their lead guards over Kyle Lowry. He went on to make 3x as many All-Star teams as both and become maybe the GOAT of a franchise and a champion.
Bam Adebayo is consistently one of the most underrated defenders in hoop. He’s never finished top 3 in DPOY voting.
Caleb Martin, Max Strus, Gabe Vincent, Duncan Robinson all went undrafted. Martin was waved by the Hornets 2 seasons ago. Kevin Love was a buyout guy.
A lot of people have been asking the Heat players and coach if they hear the skepticism and doubt around them and they’ve all answered with a resounding “No, we do not care”.
Why? Because the majority of them have been counted out and doubted their whole careers.
That, imo, is what Heat Culture is.
To be resilient in your approach and unwavering in your confidence level.
When you put all of that into context — it shouldn’t be surprising that this 8th seeded Heat team that is comprised of these oft-doubted players is 2 wins away from the NBA Finals.
The technical, on-court aspect of how the Heat have manufactured this run and played within their own style is extremely important to recognize and highlight.
But I think the story around this team, it’s players and how they’ve all become used to being counted out, is equally as poignant. That’s WHY they’re as cohesive as they are. That’s why they’re able to play as such a team.
Because they’re all like-minded, consistently-doubted individuals with one common goal: prove people wrong.
