@timhauraney Charles is in his prime and has not had a championship car. I think Ferrari needed to pay him more just to keep him there until they have a championship car. If a spot were to open up on a team with a better car I think he’d jump ship still.
@F1 F1 only has F1 to blame. What did you expect scheduling a race this early in this location? Consider yourself lucky it’s not snow because it snowed where I live last weekend, and today it’s reaching a high of 26°C.
@timhauraney What ever they can do to reduce reliance on battery management I’m for. Leave racing outcomes to the skill of the drivers.
Could they also use the Mercedes design to increase the compression ratio limitations to get more power out of the ice?
@timhauraney For those going to those races already they’re sure getting great value for their tickets now. The addition of the F2 races plus a third F1 Academy race as well.
@MattP1Gallagher It’s also super frustrating that they’re hardly playing any driver onboard radio. I’m paying for F1 tv, I want to hear driver radio during qualy and the race.
@timhauraney The wheel to wheel battling between Charles and Lewis was incredible. The first 2 races would have been much less entertaining if not for Ferrari’s starting ability. Merc would be winning by 30+ seconds otherwise.
@timhauraney Question for the NTA crew. Why is an PU provider like Merc allowed to provide an old spec PU to its customers for the entirety of all pre-season testing sessions? This defeats the purpose of testing, leaving teams to show up to the 1st race with a different PU.
Fan of the pod @timhauraney@AdamWylde All the new modes are quite confusing. Took me a bit to understand it all. I created a couple simplified cheat sheets to explain the new modes so my brain doesn’t hurt as much. Your listeners/followers might find useful.
