International Transgender Day of Visibility is a day to celebrate the lives and contributions of transgender people.
We firmly stand with all transgender and non-binary youth, families and communities, and will continue to be a safe space where everyone can say, “I belong”.
Current members will help decide the new name which will be announced in January 2023.
The names that we use in Girl Guides matter. But girls matter more.
Today, we are changing the name Brownies, our branch for 7–8-year-olds.
We have heard from racialized girls that this name has caused them harm. We cannot cause harm to any girls, so we are taking action to create a place where all girls belong. https://t.co/hXSPTW5Uk2
