Empowering members to make informed decisions about their future is all in a day’s work for Jeannette – whether it’s educating members on retirement options or helping them navigate transfers-in.
When not supporting members in pursuit of their retirement dreams, she unwinds by binge-watching her favourite shows with her furry companions by her side.
Did you know that, in addition to being a strong standalone investment plan, SPP helps fill the gaps left by CPP, workplace pensions and other retirement investments? It’s a great way to diversify your investments and make sure you’re fully covered for retirement.

Happy September Long Weekend!
As summer winds down, this weekend is the perfect time to relax, recharge, and make the most of the season’s final warm days. Whether you’re hosting a BBQ, heading to the lake, or enjoying a quiet day at home, we hope it’s filled with good company and great memories.
At SPP, we help those across Canada plan for a secure future so you can enjoy weekends like this with peace of mind.
Our office is closed today in recognition of the holiday. How are you spending the last long weekend of summer? Share your plans in the comments!
This year is SPP’s 40th anniversary! A lot has changed in 40 years, but we’re just as passionate today about helping Canadians achieve their retirement dreams as we were then. Thank you to our members, old and new, for helping us build a pension that truly is for every one!
You already know SPP is a voluntary retirement savings plan (unlike CPP). But did you know that it’s designed to work together with CPP and OAS to help you build financial security in retirement? SPP helps fill in the gaps where CPP and OAS may fall short, so you can live the retirement you deserve!
See how they all work together (and where you’re at) with this helpful calculator: https://t.co/hKnRcvNIDK
“How much do I need to retire?” It’s one of the questions we hear most. It depends on many factors. What do you want to do in retirement? What’s your lifestyle? What age will you stop working? What will your healthcare needs be? What about debt or other income? And that’s just to name a few.
There’s a lot to consider! But to help give you an idea, try our wealth calculator: https://t.co/z0fMeIN9jh
Say hello to Heather, one of our Business Development Consultants at SPP. She’s spent three years helping employers learn about the benefits of SPP for businesses and sharing her passion for educating individuals on saving for retirement.
When she's not at work, Heather can be found in the gym, traveling and spending time with family.
Wherever life takes you, we’ll follow! Unlike other pension options, SPP stays with you across jobs and across the country. You can continue to contribute, grow and collect, no matter where you are in Canada!

Meet Samantha, one of the newest additions to our SPP team. Born in Lethbridge, but raised in Kindersley, Samantha recently graduated from the University of Lethbridge with a Bachelor of Management in Accounting and HRLR.
When not at work, Samantha can be found in her garden, crocheting, or with her nose in a book. We’re excited to have her fresh perspective in the role of Financial Investment Officer with SPP.

Risk versus reward. That’s the investing game in a nutshell. Regardless of your risk tolerance, SPP has a fund for you. The Balanced Fund offers stronger historical returns with a medium-low risk (great for long-term growth), while the Diversified Income Fund reduces risk further with more modest returns (excellent for those with lower tolerance or shorter timeframes). Choose whichever suits your situation best!
