This summer I completed and defended my Masters research, which interrogates colonial legacies within experiences of queerness in Uganda, exploring questions of exclusions of access to full citizenship, dominant narratives and counter power. Here’s one of my favorite passages:
Today marks a tragic day in Uganda's history. @Parliament_Ug has passed legislation that promotes hatred and seeks to strip LGBTIQ individuals of their fundamental rights! The provisions of the Anti-Homosexuality Bill are barbaric, discriminatory and unconstitutional!
I’ve come up with an interim solution to the queuing issue to see the Queen’s coffin in Westminster, let me know what you think, it’s not perfect but I don’t see anyone else coming up with anything
