@KSARshelter@YouTube Julian is doing very well. We have recently let him and my son's dog Juice in the yard together and they have a blast playing together. This pic is Julian with his new toys.
π Double trouble here - can you please help us make some headway on our animal π₯ fund today? Or can you please retweet our post? We need more π on the important lifesaving work that we do every day!

π We're over halfway on all our May fundraisers, but we've only got four days left in the month. We've got a generous supporter who has pledged $500 donations to our staff salary fund when we reach $21k, $22k, $23k, $24k, and $25k. This will get us so much closer to covering wages for our staff this month, and during a holiday month it's more important than ever!

Our visibility on social media has plummeted in the past few weeks (I should put up some screenshots of the analytics available on meta business suite, they're terrible) with no clear indication of why. We need your help to get seen, be heard, because our animals depend on us to be seen and heard themselves.
Every bit of effort helps. Every βοΈ donation helps. Every bit of time you can put in helps, and we're grateful.
π We have over 450 animals in residence and dozens more in our hospitals. It's a hard month for everyone, I know that, but we still need help. This is where we're at paying our bills. It costs on average less than $200 a month to care for an animal for one month between food, medicine, a roof over their heads, and the attention and love they need to thrive.

We do our best to provide food for owned pets so that they can remain at home, but many animals have been surrendered to us this month: dogs, cats, bunnies, and even birds. From babies to gray muzzles, our doors are always open. We are still able to stretch every penny, but our vendors are asking us to pay our food and supplies debts for the month and we don't have it yet.

π Help us heal Tango, a sweet 7 month old puppy who came in this evening with a severely embedded collar injury. It was actually two pieces of string/twine, which we most commonly see used by children. While the injuries are severe, the cause is not purposeful or malicious. Typically young children will put a string around the neck of a puppy for decoration or to use as a collar because they like the puppy, but then they don't keep the puppy, for a number of reasons, and the string embeds in the skin as they grow. We see several cases a year, some of which are not survivable, but many are. I've covered the injury in these photos, they simply show where we found him, his (fully sedated) wound care and bath to remove the pus encrusted on his fur, and our sweet little boy up and eating his first fresh dinner in a long time.
He has deep wounds and edema around his throat and neck area, but our vets are optimistic. Please help us purchase the medical and wound care supplies needed to treat this severe injury and give Tango a chance at a healthy life. π
