Very true, its a product issue and not a weakness with bitcoin.
But I have been holding bitcoin for 10 years and I think this is the biggest threat I have seen. We can't trust exchanges or software wallets. Now we can't trust hardware wallets either.
All my bitcoin was in effected coldcard wallets. I was on an international trip because my father in law passed away and I booked the fastest flight home to save my bitcoin. Fortunately I got home in time, but I feel very sorry for those that were not able to save theirs.
