@Timben66 Hi, I can see you’ve messaged me a few times but they’ve never shown up before. So sorry that I haven’t replied. I’m not aware of widespread issues with that functionality. Which iOS version and device do you have?
The weather is looking better for a successful launch today for @SpaceX sending two astronauts to the ISS as part of NASA's commercial crew programme. Launch in ~25mins! Watch the live stream here https://t.co/v5mCQtOIf6
It's a launch scrub for SpaceX for today because of unsuitable weather conditions. They'll be trying again on Saturday so fingers crossed it happens then
Launch time: 21:33
UK pass of Dragon: ~21:50 (travelling West to East)
When watching Dragon it appears to move more quickly than the ISS you might be used to spotting as it’s closer to Earth at this point of its journey.

Later today SpaceX hope to launch astronauts from US soil to the ISS for the first time in the 8 years since the space shuttle was retired. If you’re UK based with clear skies it’s also a fantastic opportunity to spot the Dragon space craft flying over at ~21:50
She’s back in the UK skies over the coming days and there’s a pass in just a few minutes time tonight! Good weather is forecast too, so you should have the opportunity to spot the @Space_Station at some point during this series of passes. Keep looking up and 🤞 for clear skies 🛰
@HelenCarly Hi Helen. That’s because the app used to be a paid app. It asks the Apple services if you’ve purchased it and disables ads for those users. I may change the way this works so that’s invoked by the user instead of automatically on launch. It should only be required once though.
Welcome to new Sat Seeker users who saw it mentioned on This Morning! The next visible passes in the UK start in about two weeks. Fingers crossed for clear skies then🤞The app will send you a push notification to remind you a few mins before you need to head outside and look up
There’s a new version of Sat Seeker in the App Store that resolves a crashing bug that was affecting users on iOS 13. Update as soon as possible if you’ve had crashes.
@Tooth_DeKay As a follow on to this I’ve identified the cause of a common crash that’s started in iOS13 and have fixed it. I’m hoping to get the update out in the coming days.
@Tooth_DeKay Hi there. Sorry for the delay in responding. No I wasn’t aware of this. Any further information on this would be great. What iPhone do you have? Does the crash happen immediately on opening or when you do a particular action? I’ll look into it ASAP
@ChrisWhitelock3 I’ll try and get that change into the released version but it will need to be manually configured as I’ve found no way to detect this state automatically
@ChrisWhitelock3 Hi Chris, sorry for the delay replying. I’ve heard about this issue a few times but it seems to be very rare and only affect a small number of devices. I have previously had user use a special build they confirmed to resolve the issue.
@mmammel@turnkit@TSKelso@AscendingNode It’s orbit data so you can calculate satellite position accurately. Old TLEs are less accurate hence the concern. The TLEs @TSKelso references are published by the US gov based on their tracking. His contention is that if the US gov doesn’t have accurate data maybe SpaceX don’t
Here's some incredible photos highlighting the beauty of Earth to start your weekend off right! These were taken by @AstroAnnimal aboard space station from 250 miles above Earth. Orbiting at 17,500 mph, the crew gets the chance to experience 16 sunrises and sunsets each day.
