I honestly don’t know what to say.

I have lost three people I knew in this devastating flood. They were at the border when this happened, and knowing that makes this even harder to process.

I’ve been watching the videos coming out of there, and some of them are simply too painful to watch. The scale of the destruction, people losing everything in front of their eyes, families searching for their loved ones… it’s heartbreaking.

Sometimes you just sit there staring at the screen, completely helpless, wondering what to say.

My heart is with everyone who has lost someone, lost their home, or is still waiting for news of their loved ones.

Praying for the departed souls. And praying for those still out there fighting to survive. 🙏

A second flight has just taken off, carrying 37.5 tonnes of HADR material, medicines & food packets for Nepal.

India remains in close and continuous touch with the Nepalese authorities. We will continue to strongly support the ongoing relief efforts.

#WATCH | Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev says, "With a profound sense of pain and regret, I wish to bring to your notice that there has been a terrible flash flood between Tibet and Nepal border. On the Nepalese side, as per the Indian news reports, about 484 people have gone missing. And on this side, we don't have any official information. This morning I left to go there personally and all phones are off, all telecommunications are down, roads are blocked, we are unable to go there. One of our groups... the S3 group that we met at Saga and also met them when we were trekking up they were coming down, of which, 22 are from the United States, 12 from Canada, 11 from Australia, 9 from the United Kingdom, 4 from Germany, 3 from France, 3 from Nepal, 2 from Netherlands, 2 from New Zealand, 2 from Singapore, 2 from Spain, one each from Finland, Hungary, Israel, Lithuania, Philippines, Portugal, Russia, and South Africa. A total of 80, this includes 34 male and 46 female participants and a few other volunteers who were camped in the nearby hotels... three volunteers and one doctor. But we have no official confirmation of any kind. But looking at the scale of destruction, it looks bad."

A terrible and tragic flash flood has taken place at Gyirong in Tibet - China, and one of our Kailash groups was caught in it. While on their way back, they were at the immigration office when the flood occurred and the building and much of the town seems to have been flooded.

All of us, including the volunteers and support teams are deeply anguished and are doing our utmost to assist in the rescue. There has been no official information on the whereabouts of any of the people who were at the immigration office. We are working with the authorities to see if we can get to the location and stand ready to be part of the rescue efforts, regardless of the risk involved.

Of the 21 groups who are part of our Sojourn, 495 people have already returned safely. 743 people are currently in Tibet, 148 people are in Nepal, and 77 people were at the immigration center, and 3 volunteers in Timure, Nepal.

To the families and loved ones of those in our group and hundreds of others who are affected in the region, I share your pain and we are sparing no effort during this profoundly difficult time. I am personally in the region to ensure the best can be done in the given circumstances 🙏🏽- Sg
